New Patient Form
Upon booking, you will be sent any information you may need as well as a link to fill out our New Patient Form. Chinese medicine views the body from a holistic perspective, and therefore it is important to capture a broad picture of your health.We recommend you also prepare any relevant and recent medical reports or test results, as we aim to work closely with your doctors and specialists if necessary.

Initial Consultation & Care Plan

Your Initial Consultation
For your first appointment, your practitioner will spend extra time to get to know you and your lifestyle. We explore your medical history and depending on your treatment type, diagnose by feeling your pulse, viewing your tongue, and palpating points on your body. Wear loose and comfortable clothing.
If you are looking for long-term treatment in Chinese medicine your practitioner will create a unique Care Plan with you to establish expectations and set milestones for review dates. You will have access to a document detailing your Care Plan which includes lifestyle and dietary advice.

Stabilisation Stage
Your individualised care plan, including the Stabilisation Stage, is designed to address the causes and contributors to your condition and alleviate symptoms. While some patients may observe positive changes within the first three acupuncture treatments, it’s important to recognise that treatment responses can vary.

Review & Plan
After your Stabilisation Stage has passed, you and your practitioner will review how you have progressed and compare your past and current condition. A new plan will be made for the next stage, or your plan will be amended.

Corrective Stage
The Corrective Stage aims to tackle the issues behind your condition and minimise your symptoms appearing.

Review & Plan
Your practitioner will review and discuss your progress.

Maintenance Stage
The Maintenance Stage is about ensuring your condition does not deteriorate and keeping on top of any issues.

Final Review
Once your Maintenance Stage has passed, your practitioner will evaluate how you have progressed, and discuss any future support.

Our highly trained team will welcome you with a warm smile and are willing to help in any way we can. All Chinese medicine practitioners are registered with the Chinese Medicine Board and regularly undertake trainings on the latest techniques.

Frequently Asked Questions
What should I wear?
We recommend you wear loose and comfortable clothing for your acupuncture session. If your practitioner needs to access a point on your leg, for example, it is easier if you have pants that can be loosely rolled up. Comfortable clothing is also easier to relax in during a treatment and when you are relaxed you will receive the full benefits of the acupuncture.
Should I eat before I come in?
Yes. Make sure you have a little food. We don’t recommend that you come in with an empty stomach.
How many treatments will I need to see results?
Depending on what treatment you are receiving but generally you should expect to see positive improvements within the first 3 treatments
Do I need to bring my results or paperwork from my specialist, GP or other health care profession?
Yes. If you have any results or referral letters please attach them when you fill out your new patient form. Alternatively you can bring them in with you for your first visit.
Do you accept private health insurance?
Yes, all our modalities (Acupuncture and Chiropractor) are covered by private health insurance. Whether you are covered for a particular modality will depend on your private health insurance coverage.
