Fees

Consultation fees are GST-exempt and can be paid at reception after your treatment via EFTPOS, cash, bank transfer, or credit card (including AMEX).

We are registered with HICAPS and participating Health Funds can be found here. The ability to claim the cost of our services is dependent on your coverage as most Health Funds cover acupuncture, but with varying rates. Bring your Health Fund card to claim rebates upon payment or ask for an invoice. If you are purchasing a Package of 12 consultations or a program upfront, we can provide you with treatment invoices to be claimed individually on in bulk.
Most of our practitioners are registered with Transport Accident Commission (TAC) and Worksafe. Our chiropractors are also registered with Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) or Chronic Disease Management (CDM), which are funded by Medicare. Our services can be claimed with a valid referral from your GP.

We are currently in the process of gaining approval as a National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provider, however, self-managed and plan-managed NDIS funds are claimable. Please provide your NDIS ID and plan manager contact details on your first visit. A NDIS service agreement will be arranged for claiming purpose.

Late cancellation or rescheduling consultations without 24-48 hour notice (depending on consultation length) will incur a cancellation fee of $50.

The Initial Consultation is for first-time visitors to Sustain Health, during which your practitioner will get to know you and your lifestyle. We explore your medical history and depending on your treatment type, diagnose by feeling your pulse, viewing your tongue, and palpating points on your body.
You will also be asked to submit a New Patient Form prior to your appointment time, which will be provided upon booking. Bring any relevant and recent medical reports or test results, and wear loose and comfortable clothing.
Rescheduling & Cancellation Cut-Off: 48 hours prior

The Standard Consultation is for our existing patients within 6 months of their last visit (for patients that have not visited in over 6 months, refer to the Re-examination Consultation) Bring any relevant and recent medical reports or test results, and wear loose and comfortable clothing.

The Long Consultation is for our existing patients who would like extra treatment or have a severe condition.Bring any relevant and recent medical reports or test results, and wear loose and comfortable clothing.

The Chinese Medicine Telehealth Consultation is for our existing patients only, held via phone call, Skype or Zoom.Your practitioner will assess your tongue, appearance, and symptoms, and have a new prescription posted to you nationally or internationally via Sendle, standard or express Australia Post delivery.Pricing and duration are the same as in-person Chinese Medicine Consultations.
